Shipping & Returns
When will my order ship?
Small parcels will ship between 1-3 business days after the order is placed. Furniture will have longer processing and shipping times – you should expect to receive your furniture in 2-5 weeks after your order is placed.
Items ordered together may not arrive in the same box. When your order ships, we will send you a confirmation email with the tracking information. Please check your spam folders if you are unable to find this email. We are unable to edit shipping addresses once your order has shipped.
How does furniture delivery work?
Our delivery partner will reach out to you 1-3 days before delivery to schedule a time window that works. On delivery day, our delivery partner will bring the item into your room of choice, unpack it, assemble it if needed, and discard the packaging materials if you request it. (If you may want to return it, make sure to keep the packaging.)
How should I measure for delivery?
To ensure a smooth delivery process, please measure the height, width, and depth of doorways, hallways, stairwells and elevators leading into your home. The dimensions of our furniture is listed on our product pages in inches for your reference.
Will the delivery team remove my existing furniture?
Our delivery partners are not able to remove existing furniture at the time of delivery. For a smooth delivery experience, please arrange for removal of existing furniture prior to your delivery date.
What happens if I miss my delivery appointment?
If you need to reschedule your appointment, Contact Us or your local delivery agent as soon as possible. If you miss your appointment a $195 redelivery fee will apply.
Do you ship internationally, to Hawaii or Alaska?
Not at this time. We currently only ship to the 48 contiguous states, although we do hope to expand our delivery range overseas in the future.
How do parcel (accessories/décor) returns work?
We offer free returns within 30 days of receipt for items in original condition. We do not refund original shipping charges. If you're unsure about your purchase, remember to keep the original packaging. Please Contact Us and we will provide you with a shipping label to return your product.
If your item is marked as FINAL SALE or MADE TO ORDER it is not eligible for return.
How do oversize/white glove (furniture) returns: work?
If your item was marked as oversize or white glove, please contact Hello@HouseofLeon.com to arrange your return. Due to the size of these items, we are unable to issue ground return labels. Freight returns will be issued a refund less original shipping and handling charges in addition to a 20% restocking fee from the original product price. Return requests will be accepted within 30 days of the delivery. Orders that are cancelled in transit or refused at delivery due to non-damage reasons are also subject to a 20% re-stocking fee.
Please contact us within 48 hours of your delivery to file a damage claim. All items must be fully inspected by consignee and any damages or incorrect items must be noted before signing for your delivery.
Color note: Please keep in mind, because every computer monitor displays color differently, the actual product color and how it is displayed on your screen may vary. That being said, House of Léon does its best to ensure the image portrays colors, shades, and textures accurately. If precise color is important in your decision, we suggest reaching out to our design team at Hello@HouseofLeon.com for clarification regarding your questions.
Solid Wood Disclaimer
Please note that our solid wood furniture is made from natural wood and as such, may exhibit variations in grain, color, and texture. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural wood and are not considered defects. In addition, solid wood may expand and contract with changes in humidity and temperature, which may cause slight gaps or imperfections in the finish. These are also natural occurrences and not considered defects.
Moreso, solid wood 2 inches or thicker may need to adjust to the humidity of its new home. If you are not okay with movement from solid wood, please opt for pieces made of wood veneer instead.
We take great care in constructing our furniture to ensure its longevity and durability, but natural wood may require additional maintenance to preserve its original beauty. By purchasing solid wood furniture from our company, you acknowledge and accept these inherent characteristics of natural wood.
The characteristics of the wood used to build a particular product may vary slightly from the wood used in any samples or product photography due to the inherent characteristics of the material.
In turn, no representation, warranty, and/or guarantee is made with respect to the precise color, luster, or appearance of finishes on any product.
Is the boucle fabric stain resistant?
Our boucle fabric is made from 100% acrylic fibers, which means that it does not absorb liquids or spills in the same way that natural fibers do. While we always opt for natural materials for our furniture, we felt that this was the best decision for kitchen/dining chair upholstery.
These features make our boucle fabric a great long term choice for upholstery that may be exposed to spills or other types of liquid. Spills will run off the fabric but those that seep into it can be blotted away with a towel and some water if needed.
Can the Teddy seats on the Teddy dining chairs and counter stools be reupholstered?
Yes, the Teddy pieces were designed to be easily re-upholstered. Just unscrew the disc seat from the frame by removing the four screws. The fabric can then be swapped by your local re-upholsterer or done at home!
What kind of leather do you use in your products?
We use high-quality, full-grain vintage leather that is not treated with synthetic finishes. This allows the natural oils from your body to create a unique patina over time, sealing the leather in its own beautiful way. The look and feel of this slow forming patina cannot be replicated with synthetic finishes.
What are the implications of the leather not being sealed with a synthetic finish?
This means that oils and liquids will be absorbed into the leather. The stain will grow more subtle over time. As the leather patinas from its environment, the variations in color and texture will blend in to create an effect that evokes the same feeling as Venetian plaster or lime wash walls.
This also means that the color will be more vibrant and the leather softer to the touch. Once a piece of leather is treated synthetically, it can never achieve the look and feel we admire so much in generational pieces.
How should I clean my leather?
Cleaning the leather with water or any chemical solution can disrupt the natural patina-forming process. If stains occur, it is a natural part of the journey for the piece, and the leather will eventually even out with time.
What if there are variations in color and texture in my leather product?
As our leather is unfinished and full-grain, it may have variations in color and texture and may have slight imperfections, which add to the character and uniqueness of the product.
Can you tell me more about the materials you use and finishes?
House of Lèon works hard to use materials and finishes that accentuate the natural materials (i.e. wood, leather and stone) that we build our pieces with.
This means we use natural oils on our wood instead of synthetic finishes and hone our stone instead of glossing it over for example. Our goal here is to return to the way furniture used to be made and build pieces that have the qualities we all love about vintage furniture so much. Our thought is that there’s no need to deviate from the natural state of the product when the quality of the material can speak for itself.
How can I track my order?
For small parcels, we will provide a tracking number with our carrier.
For large furniture pieces, our delivery team will reach out once the furniture leaves the warehouse. After they reach out via email you will be provided a tracking method.

I just received my tracking number, but it's not working.
Please allow 2-3 business days for tracking information to update. We often send tracking when the label is created so it sometimes needs time to leave the warehouse.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Sometimes damages do occur in the shipping process even though we do our best to deliver your item in perfect condition. If your item is being delivered with a white glove carrier, please thoroughly inspect your item before signing for the delivery. Damages or defects must be noted on the receipt with the carrier. We must be notified of your damages within 48 hours of delivery. Please do not hold off on inspecting in your item (i.e. waiting upon project completion or residential move).
Can I cancel or alter my order once I place it?
If you place an order and decide to change the order or cancel it we can assist with your requests up until the items leave the warehouse. That grace period is roughly 2 - 4 days, but may vary.

What's your price adjustment policy?
If you place an order within 14 days of the start of a sale, we'll happily honor the sale price. Feel free to reach out to Hello@HouseofLeon.com if your order falls inside of that window.
